EVENT INFORMATION

Colours of Glory Foundation is a non-profit organization championed by armed forces veterans to promote India’s military heritage. Victory Marathon is an annual event the Foundation hosts every December to commemorate India’s historic military victory in December 1971. The 13-km distance symbolizes the 13 days the war was won.

The marathon will follow a route from Elliot’s Beach (Cozee Corner) to MRC Nagar (Leela Palace Hotel) and back, along some of the coolest avenues of Chennai. There are also 3 scaled-down categories of the course, Half (6.5 KM), Quarter (3.25 KM) and Mini (1.6 KM). Minimum Age Limit: Full – 15 years, Half – 12 years, Quarter – 10 years & Mini – 8 years. The top 3 runners in all four categories will be awarded trophies, while all participants will receive Finisher Medals and Certificates. The top 3 male and female runners of the full course (13 KM) will be given cash awards@ Winner: Rs. 10,000.00, 1st Runner-up: Rs.7,000.00 and 2nd Runner-up: Rs. 5000.00. T-Shirt, bib, breakfast and drinking water will be provided for all. Participants to collect their T-shirts and bibs from the Marshalling Point (Olcott Memorial HS School, Besant Nagar, Chennai 600 090) between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, 16 December, and assemble at the same point at 5 a.m. on 17 December for the marathon.

Registration Fee for all 4 categories: Rs.900/- (Concessional rates - College Students / Officer Cadets: Rs.700/-, NCC Cadets / Armed Forces Recruits: Rs.600/-, School Students: Rs.500/-). All availing concessional rates to upload ID proof for status. No refund is admissible under any circumstances. In case of the event being called off on 17 December due to rain, it will be held on another suitable day within a month or month and a half.
