The 10th Edition of Chennai Marathon, Skechers Performance Chennai Marathon 2022 (Previously Known as, The Wipro Chennai Marathon) is the largest sporting event in Chennai and the second-largest in India organized by Chennai Runners. The group is a not-for-profit organization run by passionate runner-volunteers since 2006 which organizes several running events throughout the year and has been instrumental in popularizing running as a route to wellness.

The race has both a full marathon and a half marathon distance. The race was first organised in 2009. The full marathon distance is 42.195 kilometres, while the half marathon distance is 21.0975 kilometres. The race course starts and finishes at the Chepauk Cricket Ground in Chennai. The race has been held annually since 2009. The full marathon distance was first introduced in 2009, while the half marathon distance was first introduced in 2010.
