SEKHON INDIAN AIR FORCE MARATHON – PROMO RUN

Join us for the official Promo Run of the Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon, organized in memory of Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC, the sole recipient of the Param Vir Chakra from the Indian Air Force.

In Srinagar during the 1971 War, Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon defended the airfield single-handedly against six Pakistani Sabre jets in his Folland Gnat. His sublime heroism, supreme quality of leadership, and complete disregard for personal safety remain an enduring part of the highest traditions of the IAF.

More than a run, this Promo Run brings together runners, defence personnel, veterans, families, and fitness enthusiasts to celebrate resilience, discipline, courage, and the enduring spirit of the Indian Air Force.
