About Event

Bopdev Ghat Half Hill Marathon, managed by Dspace Sports, is a challenging and scenic race set in the picturesque landscapes of Bopdev Ghat. Participants tackle the unique terrains of the ghat, experiencing its undulating hills and stunning views. Organized with precision and attention to detail, Dspace Sports ensures a safe, enjoyable, and memorable race experience for every runner. Rules & Regulations


Registration


Once registration is confirmed, the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Participants must provide photo identification proof for picking up their race kit to verify their identity as the registrant to whom the BIB number is assigned.

All participants must register before a stipulated deadline. Race numbers, usually in the form of bibs, must be worn and visible throughout the race.

Every attendee is required to sign an event waiver prior to participating in the event. Dspace, the organizers, will not be held accountable for any loss of life, accidents, or injuries.


Race Start


  • Participants should line up according to their expected finish time or as directed by the event organizers. There may be staggered starts or waves for larger events.


Guidelines:


  • Participants are advised to engage at their own risk, recognizing that running is a high-impact activity. It is the responsibility of the participant to abstain if they are not medically cleared to participate.
  • Participants are required to follow the race rules, adhere to race instructions, and obey directions from field marshals.
  • Participants are advised not to leave trash within the campus or urinate publicly. The whole campus is monitored electronically.
  • Only those registered for the event are allowed on the race route; participants cannot be accompanied by unregistered individuals.


Aid Stations: 


  • Water and/or energy drinks will typically be provided at designated aid stations along the route. Participants should only take what they need and discard trash in designated bins.


Safety:


  • Headphones may be discouraged or prohibited to ensure participants can hear traffic, event officials, or emergency vehicles.
  • If the course is not closed to traffic, participants must obey all traffic laws and signals.
  • Medical personnel will be available at designated spots for participants in need.
  • Participants are advised to safeguard their belongings, as neither the organizer nor the venue partner will be responsible for any loss or damage.


Pacers


  • Unauthorized pacers (people who are not registered but run alongside a participant) are generally not allowed.


Finish Line:


  • After crossing the finish line, participants should keep moving to avoid congestion. Medals, refreshments, or other items may be handed out in the finishers' area.


Doping:


  • Performance-enhancing drugs are strictly prohibited, and participants may be tested.
  • The use or possession of tobacco, alcohol, or any prohibited substances is not allowed.


Disqualification:


  • The organizers have the authority to disqualify any participant deemed medically unfit to proceed, based on the assessment of the Medical Officer.
  • Should there be any disagreements, the Race Director's decision will stand as the final verdict.


Digital Usage:


  • Videos and photos of runners will be captured and utilized for advertising and event promotion purposes

Race Etiquette:


  • Runners should not stop abruptly or change direction without first checking behind them.
  • If walking or slowing down, participants should move to the side to allow faster runners to pass.
  • Spitting or blowing one’s nose without a tissue should be done away from other participants.


Environment:


  • Littering along the course is prohibited. Participants should dispose of trash at aid stations or designated bins.


Event Cancelation:


  • If the event is cancelled or postponed, it will result from unforeseen and inevitable circumstances. Under these conditions, we will swiftly notify all participants through email. The organiser revered the right to cancel/modify the event without any prior notification. 


All participants will receive a personalized BIB, T-shirt, and finisher's medal. They'll also be provided with a timing chip to capture their finish times for the certificate. Additionally, they'll enjoy a professionally coordinated race experience on race day, breakfast, route support, an e-certificate, Zumba sessions, and complimentary photos.

Bib distribution will take place one week prior to the event, on 22-Oct-2023. All participants will receive the venue and time details on their registered email ID.
