SJ Contracts Vrukshathon - Half Marathon 2024

SJ Contracts Vrukshathon 2024 is a Half Marathon is a premiere event conceptualised and organised by FITNESS FIRST INDIA and Pune Forest Department in collaboration with RESQ Charitable Trust.

Our Mission and Vision:

SJ Contracts Vrukshathon 2024 is a unique and professionally organised event that combines a passion for fitness with environmental awareness. We aim to promote healthy lifestyles, spread environmental consciousness, and create a memorable running experience for all participants. We believe in co-existing with nature, which is why every participant will receive a tree sapling. Preserve your sapling, show its growth, and earn free registration for next year's event!

The Past and the Future - the Vrukshathon Nursery:

The Vrukshathon Half Marathon was inaugurated on 10th June 2018 by Fitness First India, marking the beginning of a significant movement towards environmental consciousness combined with fitness. By preparing athletes for national and international competitions through Fitness First, the event also serves as a platform for broader exposure, further embedding the critical message of coexistence with nature into the fabric of the community.

In its debut year, the event saw 2000 participants each receive a tree sapling, symbolising a commitment to the environment. Those who demonstrated the sapling’s growth were rewarded with free registration for the following year, reflecting the event's dedication to long-term ecological impact. Recognising that not all participants may have the space to plant their gifted tree sapling, the Pune Forest Department is offering a commendable solution by allocating a land in the city to create the ‘Vrukshathon Nursery’, where your tree will be planted and cared for. This initiative allows every runner's tree to flourish, symbolising their commitment to both their health and the environment. Participants are welcome to visit the nursery and see the living legacy of their participation in the Vrukshathon.

• 5:30 am - 21k Half Marathon (Eco-Endurance - Competitive Run)

• 6:00 am - 10k Run (The Green Sprint - Competitive Run)

• 6:30 am - 5k Run (Nature’s Dream Run)

• 6:30 am - 3k Fun Walk (Kids & Senior Citizens)

1. Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 16 years of age for the 10km run and 21km (Half Marathon) to ensure the safety and appropriate challenge level for all runners.

2. Registration Policy: Once confirmed, registrations are final; they are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be modified under any circumstances.

3. Event Updates: Participants are encouraged to regularly check the Fitness First India Facebook page and the official event website at Vrukshathon for the latest updates and information.

4. Health and Safety: Participation in the Vrukshathon is at your own risk. Participants should assess their own fitness and health conditions and consult with a healthcare provider prior to the event.

5. Compliance with Rules: By entering this event, you agree to comply with all rules and follow instructions issued by the organisers for the safety and integrity of the event.

6. Media Consent: Participants grant Fitness First India the right to use their name, photographs, and media recordings for promotional and advertising purposes without compensation.

7. Event Changes: The organisers retain the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event at any time due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances.

8. Arrival Time: Participants are recommended to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start of their race to facilitate a smooth running of the event.

9. Certification: The race routes for the 10k and 21k events will be officially certified by Fitness First India, ensuring a standardised race experience.

• 10. T-Shirt Policy: T-shirt sizes are final once registered and cannot be exchanged. Participants are advised to choose their sizes carefully during registration.
